I love all the pleats! J. Crew is offering several different styles with pleats, and fringe as well! The skirt is my latest purchase, and a very similar top to picture #1 is on sale! Pleats are also a great look for the holidays!

I hope everyone had a nice Memorial Day Weekend! I had a great time with my family & friends! I also completed my second half marathon and went to a Memorial Day cookout! On Saturday I spent the afternoon in the city with my sister. I love this Nanette Lepore dress. It is form fitted on top with a full skirt, so I decided to try wearing it as a skirt! I really like the way this turned out! I incorporated three statement colors, hot pink, royal blue, and chartreuse.

I love COLOR and what pairs great with that is Kate Spade.... I'm sure you can tell! I strongly recommend you sign up for their mailing list (if you haven't already) because they send you info on new arrivals AND promotions! I think it's fun to have a pair of printed pants, shorts, or a skirt to base your outfit around and make a statement. Mixing prints it also a big trend, so you could even add a subtle printed top with them as well. A printed skirt I like is here.

With the sun finally coming out and summer right around the corner, I've put together my summer wish list. There are a few trends that I really like but haven't purchased yet such as, crop tops (one & eight), midi skirts (six) and dress up sneakers (nine). I don't know how soon, or even if these will find their way to my closet but they're my inspiration for summer!

The rain hasn't stopped here in Boston, so I went for my classic rain gear. I think it's important to have these staple pieces in your closet. Classic trench coat (tan or black), rain boots, pretty umbrella and I love my nylon bag! The nice thing about nylon bags is that you don't really have to worry about getting it wet and damaging it! I certainly don't believe you have to purchase all expensive clothing and accessories, but when it comes to pieces that are timeless I like to invest in items that will last. Seeing I have had the above items for awhile I found similar options so you can put these staples in your closet.

I had been looking for a pink blazer for quite some time, and was very excited when I found this one at Zara. It has a great fit and can be worn year round! With a sunny afternoon on Friday I was craving COLOR! Therefore instead of just wearing dark denim with this outfit a opted for my mint jeans.... summer can't come soon enough!

Heading south to Atlanta for work, finally gave me the opportunity to wear a spring outfit! This colorblock top is great paired with my dark jeans or white bottoms. This navy, yellow, and white combo top has a nautical feel, which is one of my favorite looks for summer!
